Certified Reliability Engineer Preparation

Delivery: On-line and in-house

Description: The American Society of Quality (ASQ) Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE) is a well-established certification within North America.  It has exacting educational and professional pre-requisites and has a demanding 4½-hour exam.  Previous studies have shown that only 50% of students pass the exam at the first attempt.  However, students from our preparation course show a much higher pass-rate!

Our course, whether on-line or in-house, uses the Quality Council of Indiana CRE Primer as its basis.  The comprehensive text covers the full required body-of-knowledge.  However, our deep understanding of the principles, science, management, engineering and mathematics of reliability allow us to provide effective learning by our students and, in particular, to enable them to target the correct solution to exam questions (and real-life scenarios).

We also provide on-going support to students after their exams, to better assist them apply their knowledge.

Who should attend: Engineers and managers who satisfy (or are close to satisfying) the ASQ pre-requisites of 8 years relevant on-the-job experience, with 3 of those years being “decision-making”.

Reliability Green Belt®

Delivery: Open / Public and in-house

Description: The Reliability Green Belt® is part of a modular Reliability Engineer Education Program developed by the Reliability Engineering Academy.  We have exclusive rights for its delivery in USA and Canada.

In this module, the most important qualitative and quantitative methods of reliability engineering are covered. The Green Belt training is deliberately structured to teach the participant when, how and why the individual methods can be applied in the product development process. The essential reliability activities can thus be independently implemented and integrated in a company’s organization by its own employees.

Topics covered include definitions and mathematical expression of reliability, system and component reliability analysis, data and lifetime analysis, test planning, and FMECA and other qualitative analysis methods.

An optional exam is available, leading to certification by the Reliability Engineering Academy and the University of Stuttgart.

Who should attend:  There are no pre-requisites for this module and therefore it is open to anyone with an interest in reliability development and analysis.  We will discuss with each registrant any need for pre-study.

Reliability Black Belt®

Description: The Reliability Black Belt® is part of a modular Reliability Engineer Education Program developed by the Reliability Engineering Academy.  We have exclusive rights for its delivery in USA and Canada.

This module covers specialized tools and methods that enhance the product design and development process.  It includes Reliability Management, Root Cause Analysis, Design of Experiments, Durability Modeling, RAM/LCC and Software Quality.
The goal of this training is to train specialists who will be able to independently solve complex problems and work on challenging reliability issues within your organization. The Reliability Black Belt® certification holder will be able to professionally handle organizational and project-specific interfaces.  They will be great assets to their company. An optional exam is available, leading to certification by the Reliability Engineering Academy and the University of Stuttgart.

Who should attend: Engineers, technicians, specialists and executives from the areas of development, testing, design, research, production, quality assurance and management.  The Reliability Green Belt® or equivalent knowledge is a pre-requisite.

Reliability Master Black Belt®

Delivery: One-on-one coaching

Description: The Reliability Master Black Belt® is part of a modular Reliability Engineer Education Program developed by the Reliability Engineering Academy.  We have exclusive rights for its delivery in USA and Canada.

The Reliability Master Black Belt® is the highest level of our reliability engineering education program. The course is an on-the-job training program to develop the deep understanding and knowledge application commensurate with the highest qualification. In this practical module, the participants prove their capabilities by means of project work in their own practical environment.

Contents from the Reliability Green Belt®, the Reliability Black Belt® education and other disciplines of reliability engineering shall be applied to your own projects. The participants are facilitated to apply reliability methods, to work on reliability questions and solve them, and in providing the necessary support for reliability engineering in their companies. Participants receive individual coaching by the reliability experts of the Reliability Engineering Academy. This provides the necessary professional support and assures the quality and success of the Reliability Master Black Belt® education.

Final qualification is by evaluation of on-the-job studies and of a final written report.  Certification is by the Reliability Engineering Academy and the University of Stuttgart.
